Executive & Board Chair Coaching
It has never been a more challenging or exciting time to steward an institution. Successful institutions typically enjoy long standing partnerships between board chair and chief executive. Unfortunately, particularly within the independent school world, Head of School and board chair tenure has considerably shortened, and often institutional memory and successful strategies are lost in transition.
I’ve been coaching leaders for many years and I find it personally fulfilling. Having spent so much time both as an executive and as a board leader, I appreciate how complicated the partnership between board chair and the chief executive can be; and how vital it is to an institution’s success and growth. Executive and board chair coaching is offered in two models; either collaboratively with both CEO and board chair, or on a 1:1 basis. Mutuality scoring is used to assess and refine synergy. The coaching model is highly nuanced with one approach designed for seasoned leaders and also a different model for new Heads/CEO.
